NHL: Tampa Bay 5, NY Islanders 1

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Filip Kuba had two goals Monday as the Tampa Bay Lightning posted a 5-1 victory over the New York Islanders.

Johan Holmqvist made 25 saves in the Lightning's fifth straight win over New York. Tampa Bay won all four meetings last season and hasn't lost to the Islanders since March 21, 2004.

Martin St. Louis and Kuba scored power play goals less than five minutes apart in the second period for the Lightning. Andreas Karlsson and Eric Perrin also scored for Tampa Bay, which won for just the second time in its last six games.

Alexei Zhitnik scored the lone goal for the Islanders, who lost for the second straight time after winning three in a row. Mike Dunham made 22 stops in a losing cause.
