MEMPHIS, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Mike Miller scored 21 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter Friday night as Memphis rallied to beat Charlotte, 96-83.
Miller was the catalyst in a 20-2 fourth-quarter run as the Grizzlies erased a 12-point deficit. In the final stanza, Memphis out-scored the Bobcats, 36-13.
Miller, an adept three-point shooter, sank five of his seven three-point attempts. He also had nine assists.
Memphis avenged a season-opening 118-117 triple-overtime loss to New York.
Rookie Adam Morrison scored all of his 21 points in the first three quarters. Gerald Wallace had 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals. And Brevin Knight had 12 points, seven assists and three rebounds -- but four turnovers -- for the Bobcats.
Memphis out-rebounded Charlotte, 48-37.
