BOSTON, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- A shoot-out goal by Ales Kotalik Thursday night gave the Buffalo Sabres a come-from-behind 5-4 win at Boston.
The Sabres looked ripe to be beaten when the Bruins scored three times in the second period to take a 3-1 lead into the second intermission.
Buffalo responded with its own three-goal spurt in the third period, with Kotalik scoring with 1:35 left in the period.

P.J. Axelsson, Marc Savard, Glen Murray and Mark Mowers all scored goals, Savard added two assists and goaltender Tim Thomas made 29 saves on 33 shots for the Bruins (3-5-2), who are last in the Northeast with only eight points.
Patrice Bergeron's shootout goal for Boston went for naught after the game-winner by Kotalik.
