BC Distaff: Fleet Indian tops field

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Fleet Indian, unbeaten this year, goes off from the No. 7 position in the $2.2 million Breeders Cup Distaff, set for Saturday at Kentucky's Churchill Downs.

Fleet Indian has won all six of its races in 2006 and its last two tries in 2005. That record led odds makers to set the early line at 8-5 for the 5-year-old and jockey Jose Santos for the 1 1/8-mile race for fillies and mares 3 years and up.
