Dubai Escapade out of BC Sprint

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Darley Stable took Dubai Escapade out of the running for Saturday's $2 million TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs Tuesday because of inflammation.

The 4-year-old Awesome Again filly worked five furlongs in 59 3/5 seconds Monday but developed inflammation Tuesday in her front ankle.

The defection moved Lewis Michael up to the field.

Trainer Eoin Harty had been contemplating whether to allow Dubai Escapade to run against Henny Hughes, owned by Sheik Rashid, the son of Dubai Escapade owner Sheik Mohammed, but the inflammation made the decision moot.
