CANTON, Ohio, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The names of 111 former football players, coaches, owners and others have been submitted as possible new entries to the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
The list will be pared to 25 semi-finalists in November.
Among those up for consideration are Paul Tagliabue, who retired as commissioner in 2005; Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis, whose career was cut short by injury after he passed the 1,500-yard rushing standard in three seasons, and Randall Cunningham, who had 16 good seasons with four teams.
The owners up for consideration are Bud Adams, Jerry Jones, Art Modell and Ralph Wilson.
Players must be retired for at least five years before they can be considered. Coaches have to be retired with no time period.
