CHICAGO, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Roberto Luongo recorded his first shutout of the year Wednesday night as Vancouver beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 5-0.
Henrik Sedin scored two goals and his brother Daniel had three assists. Mattias Ohlund also had two assists and Luongo stopped all 32 shots he faced for the Canucks (6-4-1), whose 13 points place them in second place in the Northwest Division behind Minnesota.
Goaltender Brian Boucher was beaten five times on 31 shots for the Blackhawks (4-5-0), who are tied for third place with St. Louis in the Central Division with eight points.
On the power play, Chicago went scoreless on five opportunities and Vancouver converted once on its five chances.
Chicago has lost three games in a row and has been hit by the injury bug.
The Blackhawks will be without forward Martin Havlat and goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin for the next couple weeks.
