TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Cornerback Brian Kelly, who has a foot injury, was placed on injured reserve by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will miss the rest of the season.
Kelly has been bothered by turf toe, an injury that kept him out of four of Tampa Bay's six games this season. He had 15 tackles in the two games he did play in this year.
The team officially placed him on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his season.
Kelly has 20 interceptions and 402 tackles over a 9-year NFL career, all with Tampa Bay.
The Buccaneers signed second-year defensive end Jovan Haye off the Cleveland practice squad to fill the roster spot left by Kelly.
