COL FB: LSU 38, Fresno State 6

BATON ROUGE, La., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Quarterback JaMarcus Russell went 15-of-19 for 210 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night, as No. 14 LSU beat Fresno State, 38-6.

Dwayne Bowe had four catches for 106 yards and a TD, and Craig Davis caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt for a TD for the Tigers (6-2), who won their second straight game and remained undefeated at home.

Sean Norton completed 13-of-20 passes for 134 yards for the Bulldogs (1-6), who have lost six straight. Dwayne Wright picked up 42 rushing yards on 15 carries and 55 yards on five receptions.

LSU scored on its first possession with Trindon Holliday's 38-yard touchdown run. The Tigers scored a second time in the first quarter when Davis returned a punt 77 yards for a TD.

Fresno State scored on a pair of field goals by Clint Stitser.
