While Sharapova has won 11 consecutive matches, Hantuchova came into Saturday as an underdog against Svetlana Kuznetsova and stunned the Russian, 6-4, 6-2. Hantuchova had made it to the semis when top-seed Amelie Mauresmo withdrew on Thursday because of a shoulder injury.
