NEW YORK, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- The National Football League Tuesday suspended Atlanta Falcons guard Matt Lehr for four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Lehr, a six-year NFL veteran, has started all five games this season for the Falcons, who currently lead the league in rushing.
"Obviously, we are disappointed, but the NFL's policies are very clear that all NFL players are responsible for what goes into their bodies -- regardless of the source," said Atlanta Coach Jim Mora.
"We have options to replace Matt over the next four weeks that we are very comfortable with and will implement," Mora added.
