NFL: Carolina 23, Baltimore 21

BALTIMORE, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Jake Delhomme threw two touchdown passes and John Kasay booted three field goals Sunday as Carolina beat the Baltimore Ravens, 23-21.

Delhomme was 24-of-39 passing for a career-high 365 yards and two interceptions; Steve Smith caught eight passes for one touchdown and 189 yards and DeShaun Foster rushed for 58 yards on 26 carries for the Panthers (4-2), who led 13-7 at halftime.

For the Ravens, starting quarterback Steve McNair left the game late in the first quarter with a concussion and did not return. He was injured when Carolina defensive linemen Chris Draft and Michael Rucker combined for a sack.

In McNair's absence, former starter Kyle Boller was 17-of-31 passing for 226 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

Mark Clayton added five catches for two scores and 101 yards.

Baltimore has dropped its last two games following a season-opening four-game winning streak.
