NFL: San Diego 23, Pittsburgh 13

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Philip Rivers went 24-for-37 for 242 yards and two touchdowns Sunday as the San Diego Chargers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 23-13.

The Chargers (3-1) rallied in the second half while holding Pittsburgh scoreless.

With three field goals by Nate Kaeding and one of Rivers' two TD passes, the Chargers out-scored Pittsburgh, 16-0, in the last two quarters after a 13-7 halftime deficit.

LaDainian Tomlinson was held to 36 yards rushing on 13 carries but he caught eight passes for 34 yards, and Eric Parker had five receptions for 86 yards. Michael Turner ran for 56 yards on 11 carries for the Chargers.

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went 20-for-31 for 220 yards and two interceptions. Willie Parker rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, Hines Ward made four receptions for 49 yards and Jeff Reed kicked two field goals for the Steelers (1-3), who have lost three straight games.
