COL FB: Tennessee 51, Georgia 33

ATHENS, Ga., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Erik Ainge passed for 268 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night as No. 14 Tennessee knocked off 9th-ranked Georgia, 51-33.

Arian Foster rushed for three scores on 63 yards on 15 carries, LaMarcus Coker rushed 12 times for 57 yards and Robert Meachem caught seven passes for 98 yards and a touchdown for the Volunteers (5-1, 1-1 SEC), who have won three games in a row after losing, 21-20, to Florida Sept. 16.

Quarterback Joe Tereshinski, returning from an ankle injury, went 12-for-20 passing for 165 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for Georgia. Kregg Lumpkin was Georgia's leading rusher with 78 yards on 13 carries, Thomas Brown returned a kickoff 99 yards for a score and Brannan Southerland ran for one touchdown and also caught a scoring pass for the Bulldogs (5-1, 2-1 SEC).

Entering the game, Georgia's defense was yielding just 233.4 total yards and 6.8 points per game.
