COL FB: Nebraska 28, Iowa State 14

AMES, Iowa, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Nebraska, ranked No. 22 in the NCAA football poll, gained 250 yards on the ground Saturday night to beat Iowa State, 28-14, in Ames, Iowa.

Cody Glenn rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns; Brandon Jackson added 116 yards and one score; Zac Taylor went 17-for-21 for 131 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions; and Maurice Purify caught a touchdown pass for the Cornhuskers (5-1, 2-0 Big 12), who have won three straight games.

Bret Meyer went 18-of-39 for 262 yards, one touchdown and one interception; and also ran for a score on 13 attempts for 26 yards. Todd Blythe had six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown for the Cyclones (3-3, 0-2 Big 12), who have lost three of their last four games.

Nebraska has won three of the last four games between the two schools.
