NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson, who helped the Texans to their first victory of the season, has been selected the AFC offensive player of the week.
Johnson had nine catches, including six that went for more than 10 yards, in the Texans' 17-15 victory over the Miami Dolphins. His 3-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter was key in the victory.
New England defensive end Jarvis Green earned the conference's defensive player of the week by piling up three sacks and recovered a fumble in the Patriots' 38-13 romp over Cincinnati.
The AFC's special team player of the week was Cleveland kick returner Joshua Cribbs, who had a pair of long returns that set up scores in the Browns' 24-21 win over Oakland.
