MLB: Colorado 10, Atlanta 9

DENVER, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Kaz Matsui, Jeff Salazar, Troy Tulowitzki and Jeff Francis each had two RBI Saturday night as Colorado held on to beat Atlanta, 10-9.

Matsui had two hits and scored two runs; Salazar had three hits; Tulowitzki had two hits and scored twice; and Francis -- the Rockies starting pitcher -- had a two-run single. Matt Holliday hit a solo home run, and Jeff Baker hit an RBI double and had two runs and two hits for the Rockies (73-82), who have split their last four games.


Francis (13-11) gave up five runs and nine hits in five innings.

Brian Fuentes recorded his 28th save.

Andruw Jones had four runs, four hits -- including two solo home runs -- and three RBI; Edgar Renteria hit a two-run single; and Martin Prado and Jeff Francoeur both had one RBI for the Braves (75-80), who also have split their last four games.

The loser was Kyle Davies (3-6).
