COL FB: LSU 49, Tulane 7

BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Early Doucet caught two touchdown passes and rushed for another TD Saturday as the 11th-ranked LSU Tigers battered the Tulane Green Wave, 49-7.

JaMarcus Russell was 17-for-23 for 198 yards and two touchdowns and Charles Scott had 15 carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers (3-1).

Anthony Scelfo had six carries for 41 yards and a touchdown and Lester Richard went 6-for-15 with 44 yards for the Green Wave, who have lost 15 consecutive contests against LSU.
