MANHATTAN, Kan., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Hunter Cantwell passed for 173 yards and one touchdown Saturday afternoon as eighth-ranked Louisville beat Kansas State, 24-6.
Cantwell, starting in place of the injured Brian Brohm, was 18-of-26 with one interception.
He threw a 19-yard scoring pass to wide receiver Harry Douglass, who had six catches for 81 yards.
Kolby Smith ran for 63 yards on 16 carries; George Stripling added 63 yards on 14 attempts and Smith also caught four passes for 30 yards for the Cardinals (4-0), who showed no letup from last week's surprisingly easy 31-7 rout of Miami (Fla).
Thomas Clayton rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries; and added five receptions for 33 yards; John Meier was 14-of-33 passing for 121 yards and one interception; while Jordy Nelson made four catches for 39 yards for the Wildcats (3-1).
