MLB: Oakland 7, Cleveland 4

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Jason Kendall had three hits and four RBI Thursday afternoon as Oakland beat the Cleveland Indians, 7-4.

The other runs scored on a sacrifice fly by Mark Ellis and RBI singles by Milton Bradley and Marco Scutaro.

Kendall's two-run single capped a four-run fourth inning and gave Oakland a lead it would not relinquish.

The Athletics (89-63) won the last three games of the four-game series.

In relief, the winner was Chad Gaudin (3-2).

Houston Street recorded his 36th save.

Grady Sizemore hit a solo home run and had two runs and two hits; Casey Blake, Victor Martinez and Ryan Garko all hit RBI ingles; and Sizemore, Martinez and Garko each had two hits for the Indians (70-82), who have dropped seven of their last 10 games.

Losing pitcher C.C. Sabathia (11-11) gave up seven runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.
