NFL: Chicago 34, Detroit 7

CHICAGO, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Rex Grossman completed 20-of-27 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns to the lead the Chicago Bears to a convincing 34-7 victory over the Detroit Lions.

Bears' wide receiver Bernard Berrian grabbed five passes for 89 yards as the Bears improved to 2-0 after their season-opening win over the Green Bay Packers.

Thomas Jones rushed for 64 yards and tight end Desmond Clark had 85 yards receiving and snagged a touchdown pass from Grossman, who had a career-high four TDs.

Detroit quarterback John Kitna was 23-of-30 for 230 yards and scored the Lions only touchdown on the ground. The Lions fell to 0-2.
