MLB: Texas 12, LA Angels 6

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Mark Teixeira had four hits and four RBI, and Michael Young had three hits and scored four runs as the Texas Rangers beat the LA Angels, 12-6, Saturday.

Gary Matthews Jr. had two hits and scored twice for the Rangers, who won for only the fourth time in their last 10 games.

Adam Eaton (6-4) got the win, giving up four runs on 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings with two strikeouts.

John Lackey (11-11) gave up six runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts and two walks over four innings. Chone Figgins had four hits -- including a solo homer and an RBI triple -- and finished with three RBI for the Angels, who lost for the second time in their last five games.
