MLB: Colorado 6, Arizona 1

PHOENIX, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Jeff Francis pitched eight innings of one-run ball Sunday as the Colorado Rockies defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-1.

Francis (12-11) gave up only three hits with five strikeouts in the win. Jeff Baker scored twice and drove in two runs for the Rockies, who won for only the second time in their last six games.

Miguel Batista (10-7), who hasn't won since Aug. 9 against San Francisco, allowed three runs in six innings for the loss.
