PHOENIX, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Chris Snyder's sacrifice fly in the 16th inning propelled Arizona to a 7-6 win over Colorado in the second of a three-game set at Chase Field in Phoenix.
Chris Young started the inning with a single, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Chad Tracy and then stole third. After an intentional walk to Johnny Estrada, Snyder lifted a fly ball to right field that scored Young.
Jorge Julio (2-4) tossed a scoreless 16th inning to earn the win, while starter Claudio Vargas allowed four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits in five innings.
Tracy drove in three runs for the Diamondbacks, who won for the fourth straight time.
Kazuo Matsui drove in three runs and Todd Helton had a pair of hits and knocked in a run for the Rockies, who have dropped four of their last five.
Jeremy Affeldt (7-7) allowed the winning run in the 16th.
