MLB: St. Louis 14, San Francisco 4

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Scott Rolen homered twice and drove in seven runs Saturday afternoon as the St. Louis Cardinals beat San Francisco, 14-4.

Chris Duncan also hit a pair of homers and Albert Pujols knocked in two runs for the Cardinals.

Giants starter Brad Hennessey -- a late sub for Jason Schmidt, who strained his upper back before the game -- took the loss, yielding six runs on five hits in just two innings.

Pedro Feliz and Kevin Frandsen each hit a homer for the Giants, who dropped to 2 1/2 games behind National League wild-card leader San Diego, pending the outcome of the Padres game in Los Angeles Saturday night.
