BOSTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Jeff Keppinger and Andres Blanco both drove in three runs Saturday night as Kansas City beat Boston, 10-4, in 12 innings.
Keppinger hit a game-winning three-run homer in the top of the twelfth, when Kansas City scored six times.
Mark Grudzielanek had one run, two hits, and two RBI; Joey Gathright and Shane Costa each had one RBI; David DeJesus and Ryan Shealy each had two runs and two hits; and Estaban German had a run and two hits for the Royals (54-89), who banged out 13 hits in the third win in their last four games.
The winner was Joe Nelson (1-1).
Dustin Pedroia had two hits, including a solo homer; Wily Mo Pena hit an RBI double; Doug Mirabelli hit an RBI single; and Kevin Youkils hit a sacrifice fly for the Red Sox (75-67), who have dropped six of their last 10 games.
The losing pitcher was Craig Breslow (0-1).
