Cavaliers sign David Wesley

CLEVELAND, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Former Houston Rockets guard David Wesley has been signed to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Wesley, a 13-year veteran of the NBA who is currently ranked ninth in career three-pointers with 1,114, has started 791 of his 914 career games, averaging 12.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Last season, he averaged 9.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game with the Rockets.

"David adds a wealth of experience and professionalism to our team," Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said. "His defense, shooting and toughness will add to areas that we want to continue to grow this year."
