COL FB: Louisville 59, Kentucky 28

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Michael Bush scored three touchdowns, but suffered a season-ending injury, as the No. 13 Louisville Cardinals beat the Kentucky Wildcats, 59-28, Sunday.

Early in the third quarter, after Bush took a pitch from quarterback Brian Brohm, he had his leg pinned under his body while he was being tackled. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with a broken tibia in his right leg.

Bush finished with 128 yards on 17 carries.

Brohm completed 19 of 31 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown, and George Stripling rushed for two touchdowns for the Cardinals (1-0), who have opened against Kentucky for 13-consecutive seasons and have won nine times.

Andre' Woodson was 9-for-24 for 231 yards and three touchdowns, while Keenan Burton caught four passes for 127 yards and a touchdown and returned a kick for a touchdown for the Wildcats (0-1).
