Hjorth leads LPGA State Farm Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Maria Hjorth shot a 2-under 70 in breezy conditions Saturday for a three-round 14-under 202 and the lead at the LPGA State Farm Classic in Springfield, Ill.

Hjorth led after round one and shared the lead after two rounds.

Seon-Hwa Lee (69) and Il Mi Chung (70) are tied for second place at 203.

Cristie Kerr, who shared the lead with Hjorth after two rounds, had an even-par 72 in the third round and is tied for fourth at 204 with Nancy Scranton, who had nine birdies en route to a 9-under 63.

Kyeong Bae is alone in sixth at 205 after a 68.

Lorena Ochoa, the LPGA Tour's leading money winner, shot 70, while women's world No. 1 Annika Sorenstam posted a 69. They are tied for at 207.
