Chris Duncan hit a solo home run; Aaron Miles, Scott Rolen, and Ronny Belliard all hit RBI singles; Scott Spiezio hit a sacrifice fly; while Preston Wilson, Juan Encarnacion, and So Taguchi all had two hits for the Cardinals (71-61), who have split their last 10 games.
In relief, the winner was Braden Looper (8-1).
Jason Isringhausen recorded his 32nd save.
Alfredo Amezaga hit a solo home run; Miguel Olivo knocked in a run; Josh Willingham had a run and three hits; while Amezaga, Mike Jacobs, and Wes Helms each had two hits for the Marlins (65-68), who have split their last four games.
In relief, the losing pitcher was Sergio Mitre (1-5).
