CHICAGO, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Nick Punto hit an RBI single in the top of the 11th inning Saturday night to give Minnesota an 8-7 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Punto also hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth.
Torii Hunter hit a solo home run; Jason Tyner had two runs, two hits, and two RBI; Rondell White hit an RBI triple and a run-scoring ground-out; and Josh Bartlett hit an RBI double for the Twins (76-52), who have won four games in a row.
The winner was reliever Willie Eyre (1-0).
Ross Gload, Jermaime Dye, Sandy Alomar, Jr., and Paul Kornerko all hit home runs; Dye had two RBI; and Konerko, Gload, and Pablo Ozuna each had two hits for the White Sox (75-54), who have six losses in their last 10 games.
The losing pitcher was Matt Thornton (4-2).
