MLB: Minnesota 4, Baltimore 1

BALTIMORE, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Michael Cuddyer had three hits and two RBI Wednesday night to help Minnesota beat the Baltimore Orioles, 4-1.

Torii Hunter hit a solo home run; Justin Morneau hit an RBI single; Jason Bartlett had three hits; while Hunter, Luis Castillo and Jason Tyner all had two hits for the Twins (73-52), who have six wins in their last 10 games.

Winner Matt Garza (1-2) gave up one run on five hits over six innings with one walk and one strikeout. Joe Nathan earned his 26th save.

Nick Markakis hit an RBI single in the third inning for the lone run; and four others had one hit for the Orioles (56-70), who have split their last 10 games.

Losing pitcher Rodrigo Lopez (9-13) surrendered four runs on 13 hits in six innings with no walks and three strikeouts.
