CHICAGO, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Philadelphia defeated Chicago, 6-5, Monday, helped by Jimmy Rollins' three hits, including a two-run homer.
The Cubs trailed 6-3 in the bottom of the ninth, but surged within a run on Jacque Jones' 21st home run of the season. With two outs and a runner on first, Jones smacked a 1-2 ball from Phillies pitcher Arthur Rhodes over the center field wall.

Chicago's Phil Nevin got a pinch-hit single to bring the winning run to the plate, but Michael Barrett popped up in foul territory for Rhodes' third save of the season.
Phillies All-Star closer Tom Gordon is out with a right shoulder inflammation.
