Kentucky's Miller ineligible to play

LEXINGTON, Ky., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- There's been another blow for the Kentucky Wildcats with the announcement that offensive tackle Aaron Miller is ineligible for the entire 2006 season.

"I feel bad for Aaron," Kentucky Coach Rich Brooks said. "He'd been running with the third team while we were waiting on his status. This hurts our depth and lessens our ability to absorb any other problems that might occur."

Miller started 10 games as a freshman in 2004 and then missed the 2005 season. He returned to the university in January and is now a sophomore.

Freshman wide receiver Darrell Stevens is on the injured list for the season with a broken left ankle and torn ligaments. Junior cornerback Ahmad Grigsby is scheduled for surgery for a broken wrist bone with no anticipated date of return.
