MLB: San Francisco 7, San Diego 5 (13)

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- San Francisco's Eliezer Alfonzo drove in the game-winning run Wednesday in the 13th inning as the Giants defeated the San Diego Padres, 7-5 at Petco Park.

Ray Durham finished 3-for-6 with three RBI and Todd Greene hit a solo home run for the Giants. Noah Lowry started on the mound for San Francisco and gave up four runs on five hits with three walks and five strikeouts in six innings. Steve Kline (3-3) picked up the win for pitching two scoreless innings.

Barry Bonds hit career home run No. 724 in the game and is now 31 short of tying Hank Aaron's 755.

Ben Johnson went 3-for-6 with two solo home runs and Brian Giles and Mark Bellhorn each had solo shots for the Padres, who have lost three straight and seven of their last nine games.

Chan Ho Park started the game for San Diego and gave up three runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Alan Embree (4-3) was tagged with the loss.
