MLS: Real Salt Lake 4, Colorado 1

DENVER, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Jeff Cunningham had two goals and one assist, as Real Salt Lake beat the Colorado Rapids, 4-1, Wednesday night.

Cunningham scored one goal in each half as Real Salt Lake won their second straight game and their sixth on the season. With 23 points, Real is tied with the Los Angeles Galaxy for last place in the Western Conference.

Cunningham has 13 goals on the season, more than any other MLS player. Chris Klein and Chris Brown scored the other two goals for Real.

Thiago Martins scored the only goal for the Rapids, who lost their second straight and their eighth overall. The Rapids held onto third place in the Western Conference, four points behind the Houston Dynamo.
