PITTSBURGH, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Aubrey Huff hit two homers and knocked in six runs Wednesday night as Houston blasted the Pittsburgh Pirates, 14-1.
Craig Biggio, winning pitcher Roy Oswalt, Luke Scott and Jason Lane also hit home runs; Brad Ausmus and Adam Everett had a run and two hits; Biggio had two runs and two hits; Lane had two RBI; Willy Taveras had two runs and one hit; and Morgan Ensberg drove in a run for the Astros (55-58), who have won six of their last eight games.
In six innings, Oswalt (9-7) surrendered one run and four hits with one walk and six strikeouts.
Freddy Sanchez hit an RBI double for the only run; and three other players had one hit for the Pirates (42-72), who lost their fourth straight game.
Loser Shawn Chacon (1-1) gave up six hits and seven runs in 1 2/3 innings.
The win gave Houston Manager Phil Garner 900 for his career.
