TORONTO, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- A rare two-run infield single by Bengie Molina in the bottom of the third inning Wednesday afternoon was the key hit as Toronto edged Baltimore, 4-3.
Aaron Hill hit an RBI groundout, Alex Rios hit an RBI double, and Vernon Wells had a run and two hits for the Blue Jays (60-54).
Toronto has only two wins in its last 10 games but remains in the hunt for an American League wild-card berth.
Winner Roy Halladay (14-3) gave up three runs and eight hits in 7 1/3 innings with no walks and five strikeouts.
B.J. Ryan earned his 26th save.
Fernando Tatis, Brian Fahey and Melvin Mora all drove in a run; Fahey had two hits; while Nick Markakis had a run and two hits for the Orioles (51-64), who have lost two of their last three games.
Loser Erik Bedard (12-8) gave up four runs and seven hits in seven innings.
