MLB: Minnesota 11, Kansas City 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Jason Bartlett had five hits and two RBI Sunday afternoon to help Minnesota beat the Kansas City Royals, 11-5, for a four-game sweep.

Michael Cuddyer hit a solo home run and finished with three hits and two RBI; Torii Hunter, Mike Redmond and Luis Castillo all had one run, three hits and two RBI; Justin Morneau hit a run-scoring infield single; while Jason Tyner had two runs and four hits for the Twins (65-45), who extended their road winning streak to eight straight.

The winner was reliever Denys Reyes (4-0).

Ryan Shealy had a two-run homer among two runs, two hits and two RBI; Emil Brown had two hits and one RBI; David DeJesus hit an RBI single; and both Reggie Sanders and Paul Bako had two hits for the Royals (38-73), who have one win in their last six games.

The losing pitcher was Todd Wellemeyer (0-2).
