Robredo, Gaudio among Sopot winners

SOPOT, Poland, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Former champ Tommy Robredo and 2004 French Open champ Gaston Gaudio were among Tuesday's first-round winners at the Orange Prokom Open in Sopot, Poland.

Second-seeded Robredo completed his suspended match from Monday by beating Czech Ivo Minar 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 6-4. The Spanish Robredo was up a set and trailing 0-1 in the second set when his bout was halted Monday.

Robredo, who won the first-ever Prokom Open in 2001, will meet last year's Sopot runner-up, German Florian Mayer, in the second round.

Third-seeded Argentine Gaudio defeated Serbian Boris Pashanski 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4.

Last week's Kitzbhel champion, Agustin Calleri, beat American Hugo Armando 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4).
