MLB: Cincinnati 4, Milwaukee 3

MILWAUKEE, July 29 (UPI) -- Ryan Freel hit an RBI double in the top of the eighth inning Friday night, giving Cincinnati a 4-3 win over Milwaukee.

Ken Griffey, Jr. hit an RBI double, starter and winner Eric Milton hit a sacrifice fly; and Edwin Encarnacion drove in a run for the Reds (55-48), who have won three of their last four games.

In seven innings, Milton (7-6) allowed three runs and five hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Eddie Guardado earned his sixth save.

Jeff Cirillo hit a two-run double; Prince Fielder hit an RBI single; while both Cirillo and Brady Clark had two hits for the Brewers (48-55), who have dropped their last three games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Matt Wise (5-5).

During the contest, Milwaukee announced that it had acquired veteran third baseman David Bell from Philadelphia.
