MLB: Baltimore 6, Kansas City 4

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 27 (UPI) -- Rodrigo Lopez got his first road victory in nearly two months Thursday night as Baltimore beat the Kansas City Royals, 6-4.

Jeff Conine had a hit and two RBI; Kevin Millar hit a solo home run; Fernando Tatis had two runs, two hits and one RBI; and Nick Markakis drove in a run for the Orioles (47-56), who have won three of their last four games.

Lopez (7-11) gave up two runs on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings. Chris Ray earned his 26th save.

Mark Grudzielanek had one run, three hits and one RBI; Matt Stairs had a run and three hits; Angel Berroa had two RBI; and Shane Costa and Paul Phillips each had two hits for the Royals (35-66), who have dropped four of their last five games.

In relief, the loser was Brandon Duckworth (1-5).

Tatis was playing in his first major league contest since June 13, 2003, while with Montreal.
