ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 26 (UPI) -- Juan Rivera hit one of his two-run doubles during a 10-run second inning Wednesday afternoon as the Los Angeles Angels crushed Tampa Bay, 15-6.
Howie Kendrick hit a solo home run. Robb Quinlan had two runs, two hits and three RBI; Maicer Izturis had one run, three hit and three RBI; Orlando Cabrera, drove in a run, and Vladimir Guerrero had two runs and two hits for the Angels (52-49), who have won four of their last five games.
The winner was reliever Kevin Gregg (3-3).
Angels starter Bartolo Colon left after the first inning with right elbow irritation.
Rocco Baldelli hit a two-run homer for the Devil Rays. Ty Wigginton had two hits and smacked a solo homer. Carl Crawford had an RBI and Dioner Navarro had a run and two hits for Tampa Bay (42-60), who have dropped two of their last three games.
The loser was Casey Fossum (4-4).
