KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 25 (UPI) -- Mark Teahen had two homers and five RBI Tuesday to power the Kansas City Royals to a 7-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Shane Costa drove in and scored a run and Matt Stairs scored three times for Kansas City, which rallied from a 4-0 deficit to halt a two-game losing streak.
Mark Redman (7-5) picked up the win after allowing five runs -- four earned -- on 12 hits in seven innings. With the trade of Mike McDougal to the White Sox, Ambiorix Burgos returned to the closer role and recorded his 15th save of the season.
The Royals made another trade on Tuesday, sending infielder Tony Graffanino to Milwaukee in exchange for relief pitcher Jorge De La Rosa.
Baltimore starter Kris Benson allowed three earned runs on eight hits over six innings. Kurt Birkins (5-2) gave up three runs in two-thirds inning of relief to take the loss.
