CINCINNATI, July 22 (UPI) -- A solo home run by Ryan Freel in the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday night gave Cincinnati an 8-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

The blast capped a big night for Freel, who hit two homers and finished with three runs, three hits and three RBI.

Scott Hatteberg had one run, three hits -- including a solo homer -- and three RBI; Brandon Phillips had one RBI; and Adam Dunn hit an RBI double for the Reds (52-46), who have won seven of their last 10 games.

In relief, the winner was Todd Coffey (6-4). Eddie Guardado recorded his fifth save.

Damian Miller hit a three-run homer, Bill Hall hit a two-run shot, and Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart hit run-scoring singles for the Brewers (46-52), who have lost nine of their last 11 games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Geremi Gonzalez (2-2).
