MLB: Arizona 5, LA Dodgers 2

PHOENIX, July 20 (UPI) -- Carlos Quentin homered in his major league debut and Brandon Webb went eight innings Thursday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers, 5-2.

Webb (11-3) held the Dodgers to two runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking just two. Chad Tracy had two hits and two runs scored, and Stephen Drew drove in a run for the Diamondbacks, who have won eight of their last 10 games.

Mark Hendrickson (0-3) took the loss, surrendering five runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings. Russell Martin scored one run and J.D. Drew had the only RBI for the Dodgers, who have lost seven of their last eight games.
