Coria makes Dutch Open quarterfinals

AMERSFOORT, Netherlands, July 20 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Guillermo Coria of Argentina was among Thursday's second-round winners at the clay-court Dutch Open in Amersfoort, Netherlands.

In the second round, Coria beat countryman Sergio Roitman, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2.

Last year's runner-up, Agustin Calleri of Argentina, was beaten by seventh-seeded Daniele Bracciali of Italy, 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-0; third-seeded Novak Djokovic of Serbia routed Tomas Zib of the Czech Republic, 6-4, 6-2; and Marc Gicquel of France topped wild card Thiemo De Bakker of the Netherlands, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

In the quarterfinals on Friday, Djokovic faces Gicquel; No. 3 seed Nicolas Massu of Chile meets fifth-seeded Carlos Moya of Spain; and sixth-seeded Alberto Martin plays fellow Spaniard and unseeded Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo.

Massu was the Dutch Open winner in 2003. Moya was a finalist in 1997.
