MLB: Milwaukee 10, San Francisco 1

SAN FRANCISCO, July 18 (UPI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers routed the San Francisco Giants, 10-1, in the opener of a three game series Monday night in San Francisco.

The Brewers' Bill Hall hit a three-run homer and Mike Rivera hit a two-run shot, as the Brewers scored nine times over two-innings. Gabe Gross added two RBI.

Rookie Zach Jackson pitched into the sixth inning for the win. Milwaukee won for the second straight time since breaking a five-game losing streak.

The Brewers racked up double digits for the second straight game after winning 10-5 at Arizona Sunday.

The Giants' Jason Schmidt (6-6) lost his fourth straight decision after allowing 10 hits and eight runs, six of them earned, over six-plus innings.

Pedro Feliz had the lone RBI for the Giants, who lost their third straight game.
