MIAMI, July 15 (UPI) -- Lance Berkman and Chris Burke homered as the Houston Astros erupted for a season-high 18 hits in a 12-0 rout of the Florida Marlins in Miami.
Berkman's two-run home run in the third inning was his 25th of the season.

Houston left-hander Andy Pettitte returned to form, hurling seven scoreless innings and allowing five hits to improve to 8-9. Pettitte struck out 10 while issuing two walks.
Josh Johnson (8-5) allowed four runs on six hits to take the loss for the Marlins, who have dropped four of their last five games.
The 12-0 shutout set a Marlin record for worst shutout loss at home.
