The Sylvania area was drenched by several inches of rain on Wednesday before the tournament began on a soggy Highland Meadows Golf Club course, but sunny skies were forecast when second-round play resumes Saturday morning.

Reilley Rankin and Mi Hyun Kim were in the clubhouse Friday when Natalie Gulbis rolled in a 10-foot birdie putt on the ninth hole to grab a share of the lead before storms suspended play around 3 p.m.

Annika Sorenstam was 2-under through 11 holes, tied for 14th place with seven other players.
